Virtues
In our own personalities and our own lives we can find analogues to the Divine processes of the Creator that we call ‘virtues’. Acting from virtue, one merges into the state of alignment with Creator’s wisdom.
- Awe
- An overwhelming feeling of long waited for spiritual closeness, mixed with joyful admiration, deep and sincere reverence, not scary fears, etc., produced by that which is spiritually sublime, grand, or extremely mighty, or the like.
- Charity
- Generosity and helpfulness especially toward the needy or suffering, spiritual or material aid given to those in need. Benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity, a gift for public benevolent purposes. Lenient judgment of others.
- Compassion
- Sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress, together with a desire to alleviate it
- Faith
- Our perception of the Creator is called “faith.” The Light of the Creator that fills a person, the Light of the connection to the Creator, the Light that gives a feeling of unification with Him is known as “the Light of Faith,” or simply, faith.
- Forgiveness
- The intentional and voluntary process by which one who may initially feel victimized, undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding a given offense, and overcomes negative emotions such as resentment and vengeance (however justified it might be)
- Giving
- Giving without ego gratification
- Humbleness
- A quality of being modest or unpretentious.
- Joy
- The presence of God in the heart of the human being. Deep, impressive awe of the Creator and His deeds. The real joy is always spiritual in nature (unification with the Creator) and not mundane.
- Knowledge
- Faith following by a personal awareness of a reality much greater than one can perceive
- Love
- Feeling oneself as the Creator Who is Love
- Loving Kindness

- Mercy
- .
- Modesty
- The quality of not talking about or not trying to make people notice your abilities and achievements. Modesty is a trait of Loving Kindness.

- .
Pain (physical, psychological, emotional, intellectual, etc.) is the great, blessed remedy. It reeducates our mental activity.
