The Tree of Life (The Attributes of the Creator)
To be is to imitate the Creator. The law acting behind the case of imitation is called differently in different areas of culture, science, religion, knowledge, tradition, etc. Let’s list some of the definitions of it: The Law of Congruence, The Law of Equivalence of Form, The Law of Association, The Law of Similarity, The Law of Contagion, The Law of Attraction, The Law of Series (Dr. Paul Kammerer (1880-1926)), Seriality, Similarity, Synchronicity (the Swiss psychologist, Dr. Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961)), etc., you’ve got the idea.
Becoming the Creator, by imitating Him, gives a person an option to be in complete control of one’s life (including healing mental disorders in oneself and the loved ones, and any other people). The Tree of Life is a visual representation of the path of return to the Creator.
The Secret Doctrine
Let’s summarize the ten attributes of the Tree of Life:
1 – THE “I AM”, CROWN, CONCEALED CONSCIOUSNESS
2 – WISDOM, ILLUMINATING MIND
3 – UNDERSTANDING, SANCTIFYING MIND
4 – LOVING KINDNESS, MERCY, MINDFUL OF OTHERS
5 – JUDGMENT, MIGHT, SEVERITY, TRUTH MINDED
6 – BEAUTY, BALANCE, MEDIATING MIND
7 – FORTITUDE, VICTORY, FOCUSED MIND
8 – SPLENDOR, GLORY, PERFECTING MIND
9 – FOUNDATION, BONDING, PURIFYING MIND
10 – THE “I am”, KINGDOM, ONENESS MINDED
So, how to imitate these major attributes of the Creator?
1 – The “I AM”, Crown, Concealed Consciousness
Tell yourself (every second, mentally, consciously, subconsciously): “I am totally perfect”. Perfect refers to the Creator’s vision of perfection, and not yours. You can also recite at any time: “My God, the soul that You have placed in me is pure.” Conceal your absolute altruism from other people. Feel more elevated than the object of the physical world; feel that indescribable spiritual part of you that is above and beyond your familiar physical surroundings. Cultivate a state of awe daily (visit our web page Awestruck).
2 – Wisdom, Illuminating Mind
Put on your mental background: “I have God’s wisdom.” Just as the Creator gazes on His creatures with the wisdom of compassion, so does one imitate Him by looking to improve the lot of others. Seeing that someone has fallen morally or spiritually, one provides the resources for recovery. One imitates the Creator by helping others attain the virtues of both this world and the World to Come. Create an atmosphere of purity and wisdom around. Wisdom grows in Understanding like a child in the womb. Understanding nurtures Wisdom. Silence is a fence to Wisdom.
3 – Understanding, Sanctifying Mind
To increase your understanding/insight about how the world is governed by the wisdom of the Creator, do the following for each of your sins: 1. Regret/acknowledge the sin. 2. Pray for atonement. 3. Correct the damage caused by a sin however possible. 4. Act in a way opposite to that of the sin (for example, for the sin of lying, one should speak the truth). 5. Teach others not to sin. 6. Refrain from all other sins. After that, the illumination of understanding infuses your life automatically.
24/7 attach yourself in thought to the World to Come (the world of truth, love, and compassion), 24/7 attach yourself to the Creator.
4 – Loving Kindness, Mercy, Mindful of Others
Act toward others with principled goodness, even when they are unappreciative and insulting. Have thoughts only of goodness and love. Look at people pleasantly and kindly. Give charity to the poor (give whatever you can: your time, your talent, compassion, publish your free beautiful artworks, your free books, etc., it’s all forms of spiritual charity). Give freely to others: a present given with a giving heart, charity given with no conditions attached, mirror God’s unconditional giving to the world.
5 – Judgment, Might, Severity, Truth Minded
6 – Beauty, Balance, Mediating Mind
Keep a state of balance toward everything (e.g., Severity without Mercy is cruelty. Mercy without Severity is weakness). How much more beautiful are those who lead uninflated lives, their actions decent and integrated, their hearts calm, their minds open to God.
7 – Fortitude, Victory, Focused Mind
8 – Splendor, Glory, Perfecting Mind
9 – Foundation, Bonding, Purifying Mind
10 – The “I Am”, Kingdom, Oneness Minded
Sacrifice is the price we pay for true happiness.
